Socialism 2009

CERSC is sponsoring Socialism 2009, a weekend of revolutionary politics, debate, and entertainment. The conference aims to lay the basis for a new Left to meet the challenges of the world economic crisis and all it portends. Gather with activists from around the world to take part in dozens of discussions about changing the world: How can we end racism? What kind of organization do we need? What would a future socialist society look like?

This year, Socialism 2009 will take place in two locations: Chicago from June 18 to 21, and San Francisco from July 2 - 5. You can check out highlights from past Socialisms and speakers at Socialism 2009 at the official site.

About CERSC

The Center for Economic Research and Social Change (CERSC) is dedicated to a better understanding of today’s world, and helping to put forward the vision of a better future. Our central goal is education. By highlighting alternative voices, especially those that have been pushed to the margins, we hope to contribute to a greater insight and awareness of the injustices that exist in society, and the many efforts at the grassroots to right these wrongs. The Center’s projects include the book publisher Haymarket Books, the bimonthly magazine International Socialist Review, and the annual Socialism educational conference. We hope you’ll support the activities of the Center by clicking on the links below to find out more about these projects.
