Pre-signed copies of books by Eduardo Galeano, including his new book, Voices of Time: A Life in Stories (Metropolitan Books 2006), and by Arundhati Roy, including An Ordinary Person's Guide to Empire (South End Press 2004), will be available at The Town Hall before and after the event.

TICKETS

All seats--orchestra and balcony--are $15.00. There are no student or other discounts available.

VOLUNTEERS

The event is fully staffed and there are no volunteer opportunities.

FORMAT

Both Eduardo Galeano and Arundhati Roy will read a selection from their own work. The two will then engage in a discussion with each other on topics of their own choosing. There will not be a question and answer session with the audience. There will not be a book-signing. Pre-signed copies of books by Galeano and Roy will be available for sale at The Town Hall before and after the event.

TABLING

Due to fire codes, there is no additional room for information tables for non-profit organizations in the lobby of The Town Hall.

MATERIALS

The Town Hall does not permit non-sponsoring individuals or organizations to flyer, distribute or sell materials inside the building.

MEDIA & RECORDINGS

There are a limited number of seats available for members of the press. Media tickets will be provided only for members of the press who request a ticket in advance and receive confirmation.

Currently, neither Eduardo Galeano nor Arundhati Roy are scheduling any media interviews.

There are no additional spots available for sound or camera crews at The Town Hall. Video and audio from the event will be available at a later date from Lannan Foundation.

ADDITIONAL APPEARANCES

Eduardo Galeano will appear in Santa Fe, New Mexico on May 31 and in San Francisco on June 1.

Arundhati Roy is not available for any additional events in the United States.
